The Office of
Budget, Policy and Disaster Recovery (OBPDR) is responsible
for policy development, budget analysis, and disaster
recovery initiative support for the Louisiana House of
Representatives. OBPDR provides staff support to the Joint
Legislative Committee on the Budget, the Revenue Estimating
Conference, and the House Special Committee on Disaster
Planning, Crisis Management, Recovery and Long-Term
Revitalization. Staff serves as the liaison for the
Louisiana House of Representatives to the Louisiana Recovery
Authority (LRA), Governor's Office of Homeland Security and
Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP), and the Office of Community
Development (OCD).
Mission
Statement:
To provide the
Louisiana House of Representatives, its committees, and
members:

Analysis
and recommendations related to state finance and other
policies or pending legislation.
Assistance
in developing policy and funding options.
Coordination of budget and fiscal priorities between the
members and the Executive Branch.
Reports
and advice on the activities of the recovery efforts
related to past and unforeseen disasters affecting the
state and to monitor such activities, including acting
as liaison to the LRA, GOHSEP, and OCD.
