Ground Level
The House Dining Hall is open to the public from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
House committee rooms are located in Bigby Hall, to the left as you face the dining facility. There, House committees meet to discuss bills during legislative sessions. More committee rooms are located in Alario Hall, in the basement. Senate committee rooms are located on the opposite side of the building, on the ground floor in Duval Hall.
A folk-life museum is located behind the dining hall.
Louisiana has a wide variety of peoples and cultures. The museum area contains displays of
Louisiana, her culture and her people.
