Vice Chairman, Representative Brach Myers
State Representative Brach Myers serves the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing the city core district of Lafayette (District 45).
In the legislature he serves on Ways and Means Committee, Health and Welfare Committee, Retirement Committee, Joint Legislative Committee for Capitol Outlay,
and the Louisiana Emergency Response Network Board. Professionally, Myers serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at LHC Group, a Lafayette,
LA based healthcare company that was originally founded in St. Landry Parish by his parents, Keith and Ginger Myers. LHC Group provides post-acute healthcare
services in over 40 states and employs over 30,000 professionals across the country. Brach’s role in the organization is focused on growing the organizations
patient base and geographic footprint through mergers, acquisitions, and new partnerships. Within the scope of his 24 years in the organization, he has led a
team of over 1000 business development professionals and managers throughout the country, and held roles that included direct patient care, operational analytics,
and business development. Brach has helped foster partnerships between LHC Group and over 300 of the nation’s leading hospitals, healthcare systems, and healthcare
providers, including Baptist Health System, LifePoint Health, Community Health Systems, Christus Health, and Ochsner Health.
Brach also continues to serve as one of the founding board members for LHC Group’s internal 501c3 “The Purpose Fund” which is focused on aiding employees in times
of disaster throughout the organization. In addition, Brach also led the creation of the organization’s “Mission Homefront”, which is a national program aimed at
helping ensure care for Veterans within their homes, as well as helping Veterans find rewarding work within the homecare industry.
Brach is a graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School and the Center for Creative Leadership’s - Leader Development Program. He is also a former student of the
University of Louisiana Lafayette where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Brach is a past appointee to the Emerging Leaders Council for the
Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). He has served as volunteer member of the Lafayette Parish Government’s Recreation Commission, and up
until he was inaugurated into the Louisiana Legislature, he served as a member of the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Acadiana -
serving the Finance and Business Development Committees and Chairing the Civic Leadership Committee. He previously served as Finance Chair for the
St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial Project and helped to bring the very important project to fruition in St. Landry Parish where a monument of his grandfather,
Sgt. Wallen Myers, kneels at center of the monument. Brach recently ended his terms as a Vice Chair for the Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs in Louisiana and as
a member of the Community Advisory Board for the Junior League of Lafayette. Brach currently serves on the investment committee of Ochsner Lafayette General
Foundation’s Innovation Fund, is a board member of Boys and Girls Clubs of Acadiana, a board member and immediate past chair of Boys and Girls Clubs in Louisiana,
a board member for the Episcopal School of Acadiana (ESA), and a board member for the Myers Family Foundation.
Born and raised in Palmetto, a small rural town in north St. Landry Parish, Brach along with his wife Carly (20-year anniversary in 2024) and son Emile (14),
now reside in the historical Bendel Gardens neighborhood in Lafayette. As a family they enjoy the greatest of Louisiana’s outdoor activities in their off time,
including hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and running.
